All of our bookings must be completed by email. Simply write to [email protected] to reserve your room or cabin. Please indicate which room and dates you’d like to reserve, and please state any special diet requirements. Once you’ve emailed us, please allow a couple of hours to confirm your reservation.

Payment details
To guarantee and prioritize your reservation we require a 50% deposit via PayPal
or Ban-rural direct deposit (Guatemalan Bank).

Once here at Maya Moon, cash payments in GTQ (Guatemalan Quetzales) are strongly preferred.
PLEASE pay your bill at the lodge in the local currency.
We can also accept credit cards via TAB (10% commission charged) but prefer quetzales.
We can also accept dollars (USD) although all notes must be in pristine condition, only $50 or $100 notes.
Please note we prefer payment in the local currency and the dollar exchange rate is 6.5 to 1 dollar.
(The banks in Guatemala no longer accept bills below $50 and it is difficult to exchange dollars in the bank as they have a very small limit per month, so we have to exchange our dollars in small travel agencies who give a rate of average 6.5)
We run our business with the local currency of quetzales and dollars are inconvenient for us.

We accept TAB Money which is an easy way to pay with your credit or debit card. We charge 10% commission; you do not have to an account to use it. Tab is paid in quetzales which is converted by your bank.
Walk-ins welcome
Walk-ins are also welcome, although space cannot be guaranteed.

If you know your travel dates, it’s always best to contact us ahead of time!
ATM Machines
You can withdrawal Quetzals (local currency) from an ATM machine in San Marcos, San Pedro or Panajachel, San Juan all of which can be reached by water taxi from our private taxi.
