🛶 Easiest Way (Recommended): Via Panajachel + Boat
Travel to Panajachel
From Antigua, Guatemala City, or Xela: take a shuttle, chicken bus, or private taxi.
If driving, use safe parking near the boat dock:
Go past the petrol station in Panajachel to Calle Santander – The main shopping street
Take the second right, follow this road and look for El Kayucos Marina parking lot, safe and close to the dock)
Take a Public Boat (Lancha) to Maya Moon Lodge
Head to the public dock in Panajachel – Tzanjuyú – We recommend arriving in Panajachel and catching a boat from the public Tzanjuyú dock at the end of Calle del Embarcadero.
Ask for a boat going to San Marcos
Tell the captain “Maya Moon” — they know the stop (between San Marcos and Tzununá)
Cost: 25 quetzals
You’ll be dropped at the private dock of Maya Moon
Walk up a few steps to reception
🚗 Alternative Way: Via San Marcos
Drive or Shuttle to San Marcos La Laguna
